From its maiden advent in Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing in the mid-80′s, the Group diversified into bulk importation of Industrial Chemicals, affordable Pharmaceuticals and Surgicals, Commodities, Polyethylenes, Automobiles, Electronics and White Goods. In continuing with the Group's philosophy of leading by example, the successful commissioning of a Plastics Plant for household products in the year 2000 was followed by the setting up of a Pharmaceutical Formulation Plant and a Table Water Bottling Plant in 2003. The Group also forrayed into Rice Milling too, using state-of-the-art food processing equipment from the world leaders in their fields. Dana Group also acquired Steel Rolling Mill in Katsina to produce debars and wire rods, which was a high point in 2006.

As such, the Hospital can be designated as the most advanced medical facility, by all accounts, in not only the Northern part of the country but in Africa and that it stands as the second largest hospital in the nation. With a total inpatient bed capacity of about 500 beds in four major departments and other specialty units, the Ayder Referral Hospital is used as the main teaching hospital for the College of Health Sciences, Mekelle University. CAMEG, we contribute to the fight against poverty in Burkina Faso. We are into manufacturing; transport; storage; distribution. Also, CAMEG has set up a system to verify compliance with standards at all levels: At the supplier level before ordering the supplier through the stage preselection where it is subjected to rigorous selection criteria. Upon receipt of the products we check the compliance of products with the specifications (expiry date, packaging etc.). Failure clauses results in the release of the product. The delivered products must be accompanied by batch certificate to ensure traceability of medicines distributed. The conditions of supplier invoices settlement also guarantee quality because only 50% are set to the quantitative reception, the other 50% are set only after the quality control. The process of deconcentration and decentralization CAMEG continues with the introduction in late 2011 two commercial agencies second generation in Tenkodogo and Dori , respectively in the regions of East Central and Sahel . In total, ten sales offices are currently functional. Also a super agency is under construction in Tengandogo, south of Ouagadougou, to decongest the two commercial agencies of Ouagadougou and the central store. The need to provide different regions of adequate infrastructure for drug distribution , the result of a proactive vision for adapting the storage capacities and distribution CAMEG people's needs constantly growing.
