She was able to re-employ the most experienced staff thus saving 15 employees from being made redundant. Some of the ladies have been weaving since 1985 and this is the only work that they know.Thus Woven Arts of Africa was founded, which is the only weaving operation of its kind in Windhoek. The workshop/showroom is situated a short walk from the centre of the city in the courtyard of the Old Brewery Complex behind the African Craft Centre.
