Global Lighting Centre Ltd, as its name suggests, is a privately owned lighting concern with a mission to satisfy all the lighting requirements within the building, construction and real estate sectors of the Ghanaian economy.   Incorporated on the 12th of January 1996 as a brain child of TOP HIGH ELECTRICALS & CONTRACTORS - a leading electrical concern based in Kumasi, - GLOBAL seeks to supply and install at the request of its valued customers, top quality lighting fittings and accessories from some of the world's leading companies in the business.   As it's corporate philosophy, GLOBAL seeks to meet the peculiar needs of its wide range of clients. In this regard, it does not just retail the fittings and accessories but go a step further to offer expert advise to ensure that the particular fitting supplied meets the perceived needs of its clients.   It is also the policy of GLOBAL to work closely with the architects, consultants, engineers as well as all other significant stakeholders on any particular project to ensure that the total offering adequately satisfies the client's requirements.   MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE The management team of GLOBAL is made up of the Managing Director who happens to be the owner of the company, the Financial and Administrative Manager, IT Manager and the Marketing Manager. This team handles all aspects of management from procurement right down to customer service.   Apart from the management team, GLOBAL has staff strength of 22 persons made up of the Warehouse Managers (2) Branch Managers (5) Store Electricians (4) Project Electricians (3) Drivers (2) Store Assistants (5) and a Company Secretary.   BRANCHES Global Lighting centre has four branches which are situated between Accra and Kumasi.This branches are located as follows:   ACCRA Osu - Oxford Street,Opposite McCoffie house Accra Central - Opposite Opera Cinema Adabraka - Park Williams Building,Adjacent Ernest Bruce Memorial Methodist Church   KUMASI Adum - Tiwaah House, Adjacent Ecobank.   CORPORATE ACHIEVEMENTS 1. Three Americans and two Ghanaians founded IceCool in 1999, primarily to produce Purified Ice Cubes for the general public and the fishing industry of Ghana. IceCool introduced its Purified Water at the Millennium Festival at Independence Square in January 2000.Initially, we packaged and served our Purified Water in 450-ML sachets and 1.5-L bottles, but today, we also provide limited 500-ML bottles and 5-gallon (18.9L) packages.Our goal is to increase the awareness of the usefulness of Purified Ice Cubes, to preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables and to chill beverages in areas where electricity is not available or practical.Considering less than 10% of Ghana's population use Purified Ice Cubes, we hope to educate the masses as to the difference between our ice cubes, which are edible/potable, and the other fares that are unfiltered ice blocks from the fishing harbours.We also use the Purified Ice Cubes for chilling Beverages for all occasions. We are capable of chilling between 30 to 1000 crates at any event using our Purified Ice Cubes. Most Beverages are chilled in 10 to 15 minutes, and are ice cold in 30 minutes.
